Having a facial radiofrequency device in your centre does not in itself guarantee good results: the difference lies in the protocol behind it. Session frequency, the conductive medium used and the precautions checked before starting are the three factors that most influence what your client notices when she leaves the treatment room.
How often should sessions be scheduled?
The results of facial radiofrequency are cumulative: they become more noticeable as sessions add up, not after the first one. The usual approach is to plan between 6 and 10 sessions on a weekly basis, and to follow up with maintenance sessions a couple of times a year so the effect holds over time. Breaking this continuity, or spacing sessions too far apart at the start, usually translates into less visible results and a client who is less convinced about coming back.
Why is the conductive cream the foundation of every session?
No radiofrequency protocol works well without the right conductive medium. Ultrasound gel does not do the same job: its formulation is designed for sound waves, not to help electrical current pass through. The facial conductive creams from Kefus reduce the skin's resistance to the current, let the electrode glide comfortably throughout the session and, along the way, hydrate and soothe the treated skin.
Within this same category you will find versions designed for different needs, which lets you match the conductive cream to each client's goal instead of always using the same one:
|
Treatment goal |
Type of conductive cream |
|
Wrinkles and expression lines |
Anti-wrinkle |
|
Dark spots or dull tone |
Anti-dark spot |
|
Eye contour and under-eye bags |
Specific texture for delicate areas |
|
General sagging of the facial oval |
Firming or lifting |
|
Very dry or sensitive skin |
Moisturising or nourishing |
Which contraindications should be checked before each session?
Before starting any session it is worth reviewing the client's medical history. As a general rule, facial radiofrequency is not indicated during pregnancy, in people with pacemakers or metal implants in the area to be treated, or over skin with active rosacea or visible irritation. Faced with any reasonable doubt, the most prudent thing to do as a professional is to postpone the session rather than take an unnecessary risk.
A well-designed protocol shows in the results
Facial radiofrequency delivers good results when it is applied with judgement: consistently scheduled sessions, the right conductive cream for each goal and a prior check of contraindications. That is what truly sets one centre apart from another, beyond the device it has in the treatment room.
